Over due post! Washington Trip

I promised Kelly and Trevor that I would babysit for them so they were able to go out of town together for a full week without the kids. They decided on the end of January to go to Kona, Hawaii (lucky ducks). Cam and I hopped on a plane the Thursday night (Jan 23rd) before they had to leave in the middle of the night on Friday (Jan 24th). I was so glad that Cam was able to come with me for a couple days and help me get settled in to having 4 kids to take care of. The two youngest, mine-Maverik, and her's-Pierce are only 5 months apart so it was a lot like having twins all week. Never a dull moment! Friday morning Morgan was off to school and so was Slade. Let me just say I was so thankful that Kelly had planned everything so well, that she arranged for a few of her friends to help me out during the week with rides to and from school, gymnastics, etc. That worked out so well!! I would have needed to wake up both babies every time it was time to drop off or pick the kids up from somewhere. We all know it's never fun having to wake up a sleeping babe, let alone TWO babes. Anyways everything was great and I didn't want Cam to leave me. Saturday night was Jesse Morse' and his new brides reception, so Cam and I got all 4 kids dressed and ready and dragged them off to that for a couple hours. We had a good time and Maverik enjoyed the band they had-he danced the night away. Sunday morning mom was able to be with all the kids while I went and dropped Cam off at the airport so he could catch a flight home to go back to work. I so didn't want this day to come! She got all the kids dressed and mainly ready for church by the time I got back. Once I returned she left to go get herself ready. We went to church-yep I brought all 4 kids to church by myself! Mom got to church before me and was able to save us a soft seat. phew (Mav does better when he is more "closed in"). I was super thankful for her help during church as well! I was really lucky to have my mom and Kim around to help with feeding the kids lunch or dinner or just playing with them and being with me so I wasn't alone. Thank goodness for those two also! I really enjoyed the time that I had with Kim, it had been WAY too long since we've actually had time for just us....well besides the kids. I wish my mom lived near me!!! Kelly-you are extremely lucky to have both grandmas living close to you and your kids! The week was a blast with all the kids and I was always busy. I often wondered to myself how some of those mommas with 4 kids do it, day in day out, month in month out. PHEW It's a lot of work! Kel and Trev brought me back a few unexpected super AWESOME gifts that were made in Hawaii or from there. SO cool. The day they got home was pretty crazy because the kids were so excited they were home and to see the gifts mom & dad got them in Hawaii. We talked all about their trip and the fun they had there. We were all pretty tired, and the next morning we had to get up really early to catch a plane home back to Utah. They offered to watch Maverik for us so we could go somewhere sometime...I may just take them up on that! Hmmm Cam, where should we go!?
